Our craft
Most home décor at this price point is mass-produced and shipped from overseas. Saanjh is made differently. Here's how.
A small studio

The process

01
Every piece starts as a sketch in our West Bengal studio, then becomes a 3D model. We obsess over small things — the curve where a lamp meets its base, the way light falls on a vase's ridges, the weight of a coaster in your hand.

02
Each piece is printed in plant-based PLA — a bio-based polymer made from cornstarch. A single object takes 4-18 hours on the machines. We can't rush it; the layers need to fuse properly or the surface won't feel right.

03
Every piece is sanded smooth at the seams, checked for blemishes, and inspected under the same warm light it'll eventually sit under. Anything not right gets re-printed.

On material
“We make from plant starch because it's honest. Not because it's trendy.”
— the Saanjh studio
The principles
PLA is fermented plant starch. A fraction of the embodied energy of ceramic or extruded plastic. We use it because it's honest, not because it's trendy.
No factory contracts. No overstocking. We make what we sell. If something sells out, it's because we made small to begin with.
Our workshop sits in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. A small team — designer, printer, finisher, packer. Call +91 99073 58321, Mon-Sat.

04
Each order is packed by a person, not a fulfillment robot. Recyclable paper wrap, recycled cardboard, no plastic bubble. A handwritten thank-you slips into every box.
Most pieces stay under ₹2,000. Craft shouldn't cost the price of a vacation.
