Our story
In Hindi, saanjh means twilight — that stretched-out hour between the day ending and the night beginning. The phone calls have stopped. The light has softened. Whatever your day was, it's mostly over.
We started Saanjh because we noticed something about evenings. Most of the décor sold in India is built for the morning version of you — bright, busy, productive. But the version of you that comes home at 7pm wants different things from a room. Softer light. Warmer surfaces. A vase that doesn't look like every other vase. A coaster you don't mind reaching for.
So we make pieces for the evening you. Lamps that don't shout. Vases shaped like things you'd notice at a friend's house and ask about. Trays for the small rituals — keys down, watch off, glass poured. Coasters that don't look like an afterthought because, well, they aren't.
Everything is designed and printed by a small team in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. We use plant-based PLA instead of petroleum plastic. We make in small batches instead of overstocking warehouses. We price each piece the way we'd want a friend to be priced — fair, transparent, no fashion-brand markup pretending to be artisan.
If you've been looking for home pieces that feel intentional without feeling expensive — pieces that show up for your evening — that's what we're here for.
